Postdoc Venkat Srinivasan is a Research Associate at the University of Illinois. He received his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and went on to get his M.S. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University. He also received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois. His work has been published in Advances in Water Resources and other publications. Venkat's expertise includes eco-hydrology, stochastic non-linear dynamics, and contaminant remediation. More specifically, he works on developing dynamic vegetation models under climate change scenarios. For the RIPE project, his work focuses on scaling leaf level processes to the canopy and the ecosystem scales and quantifying the changes in the fluxes of carbon and water and energy under climate change.
