| | Lancaster UniversityAlice Robijns was a research assistant at Lancaster University. Her research focused on understanding the different enzymatic properties of isoforms of Rubisco made up of different combinations of subunits. For the RIPE project, Alice utilized the Golden Gate cloning system to create an in vitro system in E. coli that allows her to express these isoforms for analysis. Alice earned her bachelor's degree in biological sciences at the University of Oxford. Alice is now pursuing a doctorate at Cambridge University, after having joined RIPE member Wanne Krodijk and his group to do a PhD on C4 photosynthesis.
