Ryan Boyd is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois. His research focuses on the conservation of water by promoting photosynthesis in the humid lower canopy. He measures and seeks to improve light penetration through crop canopies. Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in integrative biology from Illinois. He then went on to earn his doctorate degree in molecular plant science from Washington State University. His work is published in Plant Physiology.
