| | Lancaster UniversityDoug Orr is a Lecturer in plant biotechnology at the Lancaster Environment Centre at Lancaster. He is an expert on Rubisco catalytic diversity, with experience of chloroplast transformation, biochemistry and post-translational modifications in Rubisco. Doug earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and microbiology from La Trobe University, and earned his doctorate at Australian National University’s Research School of Biology. He started exploring the natural diversity of Rubisco catalysis across a wide range of species at Rothamsted Research and the Lancaster Environment Centre. His work has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Plant Physiology.
