Rabindranath Paul is a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Diwakar Shukla's lab at the University of Illinois. His research focuses on investigating the mechanisms of inhibition of Rubisco and Rubisco activase in plants. For RIPE, Rabindranath will be researching the molecular interactions responsible for the inhibition of these enzymes and providing insights into the potential engineering of enzymes with reduced inhibition. Rabindranath earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from the University of Burdwan, and he later went on to earn his doctorate in computational biophysics at the Indian Institute of Technology--Guwahati. He is currently completing his postdoc in computational plant physiology at the University of Illinois. His work has been published in Langmuir, the Journal of Physical Chemistry (JPC), and the Journal of Chemical Physics (JCP).
