Meagan Lang is a research scientist and software developer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. For the RIPE Project, she develops software to integrate plant biology models across scales, which helps to more accurately model photosynthesis. She received her bachelor’s degree in physics and astronomy at Penn State University, and her doctorate in the same subject at Vanderbilt University. Her interests include using computational modeling for astronomy and plant biology. Her work has been published in several journals including in silico Plants, the Journal of Open Source Software, and the Astrophysical Journal. She is a part of the in silico Plants Editorial Advisory Board, and is an AI Farms AI Foundry Session Instructor.
