Tory Clarke

| | Australian National University

Victoria (Tory) Clarke was a postdoctoral researcher at The Australian National University and one of the project's first elected ambassadors, who represented the project's Early Career Researchers on the RIPE Executive Committee. Her research aimed to increase the capacity for plants to acquire resources, such as carbon dioxide, which will boost yields through the increase in photosynthetic activity in crops. For the RIPE project, Tory focused on membrane transport processes. She earned her bachelor's degree in biotechnology from the University of Tasmania. Tory went on to earn her doctorate in plant molecular biology from the University of Sydney. Her work is published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Molecular and Cellular Proteomics, Planta and Frontiers in Plant Science. In November 2021, Tory joined the University of Tasmania as a Research Fellow at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA), working with the ARC Research Hub for Sustainable Crop Protection.
