Deepak Jaiswal was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois. His research focused on developing process-based crop models. These models can be used to predict the impact of physiological parameters on the growth and yield of plants under different soil and climatic conditions. Deepak received his master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rovira in Virgili, Spain, and went on to earn his doctorate in agricultural and biological engineering from Penn State University. His work has been published in numerous journals, including Global Change Biology Bioenergy, Environmental Sciences & Technology, and Plant, Cell & Environment. Deepak is now an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad.
