Dhruv Patel-Tupper is a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on understanding photoprotection and molecular repair from high-light damage in plants and algae. For the RIPE project, he will be manipulating known and identifying new factors in photoinhibition (ql) to improve high-light tolerance and photosynthetic efficiency in crops. Dhruv earned his bachelor's degree in plant and biological sciences from Cornell University. He is working towards a doctorate in plant biology at Berkeley. His work is published in Plant Physiology.
