Isha Poudel is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Environmental Plant Physiology Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She focuses on crop physiology and the effects of abiotic stresses on plant growth, photosynthesis, and nutrient dynamics. Isha’s work has been published in journals such as Plants, Plant Stress, and Agronomy. Originally from Nepal, Isha holds a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, a master's degree in Horticulture from Tennessee State University, and a Ph.D. in Crop Physiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has received multiple awards, including the Tom & Emily Austin Outstanding PhD Graduate Student Award and the University of Tennessee Herbert College of Agriculture Fellowship for Graduate Excellence. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and cooking.
