Office Manager Bruce Barnes worked as Steve Long’s personal assistant at the University of Illinois, having previously worked in the Institute of Genomic Biology’s Business Office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois Commercial College. With the RIPE project, Bruce helped Steve manage the project. Bruce retired in May 2021 after 22.5 of hard work and service.
