Anne-Sophie applied her expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry to study carbon concentrating mechanisms for the RIPE project. She previously worked on starch metabolism-associated enzymes in wheat. She received her bachelor's degree from the Academy of Montpellier where she studied plant-pathogen interactions and went on to earn her doctorate from the University of Bordeaux. Her work has previously been published in Molecular Plant Pathology. She went on to become the director of crop biotechnology policy at CropLife Australia where she works as a researcher turned science communicator and policymaker.
