Yufeng He is a postdoctoral research associate working with Megan Matthews for the RIPE project at the University of Illinois. His research focuses on studying climate, hydrology, and crop growth models. For RIPE, Yufeng will be working with the crop growth model BioCro and other models, such as ePhotosynthesis to computationally explore how gene engineering strategies that other members of the RIPE team have discovered and implemented in tobacco may be expected to perform in crops such as soybean. Yufeng earned his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and his master's degree in meteorology from East China Normal University. He later went on to earn his PhD in micro-meteorology from Bangor University and then completed his postdoc in climate-hydro-crop model coupling from the University of Maryland, College Park.
