Vivien Rolland was a postdoctoral research fellow at The Australian National University. Vivien is a molecular biologist with a strong interest and expertise in genetics and advanced plant microscopy. He joined the RIPE project to work with Murray Badger and Dean Price on implementing cyanobacterial bicarbonate transporters into the chloroplasts of higher plants. Vivien earned his bachelor's degree in genetics and developmental biology from the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where he also earned his master's degree in cellular and molecular biology. He went on to earn his doctorate in molecular biology from the University of Vienna. His work has been published in Genome Biology, Developmental Cell, and other journals. He now works as a research scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), which is Australia's national science agency.
