Clayton Dilks is a Researcher on the RIPE project, working with Prof. Elizabete Carmo-Silva. He earned a bachelor’s degree in integrative biology from the University of Illinois and a doctorate degree in biological sciences from Northwestern University. He uses classic and machine-learning protein engineering techniques to improve rubisco activase thermal tolerance. He engineers essential plant proteins to fortify plants against variable climates.
