André Alcântara was a research assistant at Rothamsted Research where he worked on the RIPE project. He earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree in biology and biotechnology from the University of Lisbon. André is a molecular biologist with a focus on plant transformation and transient expression analysis. For the RIPE project, he screened Rubisco catalytic proprieties from a wide array of species to identify the most promising variants.
