Pauline Lemonnier is a senior research officer at the University of Essex. Her main area of research is related to the understanding and improvement of photosynthetic processes in response to environmental changes. For the RIPE project, Pauline is working to improve the kinetics of photosynthesis induction following an increase in light intensity through anatomical and biochemical approaches such as the manipulation of stomatal density and guard cell metabolism. Pauline received her master's degree in agricultural sciences and engineering at the Higher National School of Agronomy in Toulouse. She later went on to earn her doctorate, specializing in the role of sugar transporters in plant/pathogen interactions, at the University of Poiters. Since then, she has received her postdoc in crop photosynthetic response to climate change at the University of Illinois. Pauline's work has been published in Plant Biology, Photosynthesis Research, and Current Opinion in Plant Biology.
