Fay Biney is a postgraduate researcher at Lancaster University. For RIPE, she characterizes the

variability in Rca isoform abundance and expression in selected genotypes of cowpea under

heatwave conditions in order to improve the plant’s productivity and climate resilience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in crop science from the University of Ghana, Legon, her master’s in plant breeding and biotechnology from the CSIR College of Science and Technology, and her doctorate in plant sciences from Lancaster University. In 2023, she was awarded The Peter Lucas Prize for Research Excellence from Lancaster.
