I study the function and structure of plants related to photosynthesis and water-use efficiency in both controlled and field environments.

For RIPE, I will use gas exchange techniques to characterize transgenic plants with reduced blue light response.

I study the physiological plasticity of plants related to photosynthesis and water-use efficiency under dynamic and steady-state light conditions in both controlled and field environments using gas exchange techniques. I also have experience with three-dimensional crop modelling of intercropping systems. The motivation for my research stems from the need to improve crop productivity and resource-use efficiency in a warming world. I am particularly interested in agroecological techniques and diversifying our crop systems.
