| | University of Illinois Urbana-ChampaignJiating Li was a postdoctoral research associate at the Carl R.Woese Institute for Genomic Biology. She earned her bachelor's degree in biosystems engineering from Zhejiang University, and then she earned her master’s degree and Doctorate in biological and agricultural engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She focuses her research on working to improve agricultural productivity and make it more sustainable through the seamless integration of innovative crop sensing technologies, data analytics, and existing knowledge from plant sciences. For the RIPE project, Jiating created data analysis pipelines for the data collected by the RIPE Aerial Plant Phenotyping System (RAPPS) and implemented computational approaches to advance in-field throughout plant phenotyping. Throughout her time doing research, Jiating has had her work published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Frontiers in Plant Science, and the Crop Journal. She also won the Heuermann UNL Plant Science Fellowship Award in 2021 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
