JiaHui Du was a graduate student at The Australian National University (ANU). Her work with the RIPE project focused on using heterologous systems, such as Escherichia coli, to identify cyanobacterial bicarbonate transporter candidates for expression in crops. She earned her bachelor's degree in biological engineering from Tianjin University of Commerce in China, and received her master's degree from ANU.
