Weng Yik Chin is a research technician at the University of Cambridge. Within the RIPE project, Weng Yik work focuses on relaxing photoprotection, specifically, accelerating the recovery of photosynthesis from limitations related to energy-quenching mechanisms. Weng Yik contributes to the Krondijk Lab’s work with molecular and physiological studies on bioengineering photoprotective responses to enhance photosynthetic efficiency. Weng Yik earned his bachelor's degree in biotechnology at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, followed by a master’s in biological sciences at the University of Cambridge.
